Our team of designers have worked with a range of clients to build a product from an idea rather than a design. RGE worked with the world's largest furniture retailer to produce a range of chairs from a clean sheet. Working from a brief description and a target price, our team were able to put together concepts and establish designs that went on to sell millions of units when produced.
Many of our other customers in the furniture industry do the same, providing a description of what they want from the product and examples of what they like in the market, allowing our team to create our own designs and interpretations from a blank sheet of paper.
MEETING YOUR VISION
Revisions and redesigns are often needed to confirm that our sketches and models meet your original idea. Sometimes, changes have to be made to make the product or part viable for the injection moulding process, or to improve the functionality.
Our team of highly skilled and experienced designers work closely with the customer to design products that are as close to the original brief as possible, whilst making adaptions to allow for the product to function as needed.
IS YOUR PROJECT VIABLE?
When taking on a new project, some factors must be considered to confirm if the product is viable for injection moulding. Firstly, the type of moulding required must be identified, as parts requiring blow or extrusion moulding will not be suitable. The level of detail must also be assessed, as some parts with extremely intricate detail and shaping may be better suited to other types of moulding.
Whilst RGE can offer injection moulding from a large number of plastics, work to source rarer types of plastics must be done to understand its availability in the market place. As RGE is home to the largest injection moulding machines in the UK, size is very rarely an issue.
